Mark works with you from concept to completion. He begins customized projects by meeting with the client. After learning about the occasion, Mark will provide a concept for a unique piece of art. This art will be designed uniquely for you using quality hardwoods, creating a one-of-a-kind work of art and the perfect gift for any occasion.
Size can vary and Mark works within your budget. Please allow 4-8 weeks for custom creations to be completed. Below are a few samples of customized created artwork. This artwork has been uniquely crafted, from pattern to product, by Mark Gifford.

Ellie the Elephant
A birthday gift for a beloved girlfriend, this art creation started as an idea and a phone call. The client wanted three things represented: a love of elephants and lilies and his girlfriend's name - Ellie. Mark created the pattern and selected a variety of hardwoods. The design was completed by Mark's work on the scroll saw, adding the name "Ellie."
The Pomeranian Pup
Each year, Mark and his family would return to the same rental at a place called Lakeside. And, each year, a sweet Pomeranian pup would greet him. Many years later, we knew it would be this sweet dog's last summer. We said goodbye that summer, but a year later, Mark returned with this custom piece of art created in memory of this beloved pet. The tears shed and the hug received were payment enough for this special piece of custom art.
26 Diamonds
Every wedding anniversary, Andy and his wife celebrate with diamonds. Some years it may be a real diamond in a piece of jewelry, but this year - for their 26th wedding anniversary, Andy wanted to work to create a piece of art that he and his wife would enjoy a lifetime. The final piece includes 26 diamond shapes and the color of the hardwoods were selected to compliment the home that Andy and his wife created together. Happy Anniversary indeed!
Maine
A client living on the beautiful Belgrade Lakes wanted a piece that would capture the beauty of the outdoors. Working with Mark, she shared her vision of mountains, water, moon, trees and even a beloved canoe. This piece of art now hangs in the client's home in Maine.
Lion
This client wanted an art piece celebrating their love of lions. After looking at some pictures, Mark hand sketched this design. The client loved the essence of the drawing. Mark then handpicked the quality hardwoods for this piece and then worked to complete the piece of art using the process of Intarsia art.
Cardinals
When this client's wife passed, he wanted something to reflect and celebrate their life together. The client had seen the cardinal ornaments and asked Mark if he could create something with two cardinals, sharing a seed, perched on a fence. Mark did just that and then added the names and date of their wedding.
Cowboys
What does every man cave need? An awesome artistic creation that celebrates their favorite sports team. This is the story of this wall hanging which now proudly is displayed in this client's home.
Black Lab
When a friend's beloved lab passed away, she contacted Mark about a custom piece that would provide comfort and be a meaningful remembrance. Mark received a photo of the dear dog and, from there, created a pattern and then this art creation which now hangs on the wall of this individual's home.
